Cantor Fitzgerald Expands Fixed Income Sales and Trading Team

NEW YORK, Aug. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cantor Fitzgerald, a leading financial services firm, today announced the continued expansion of the fixed income sales and trading team with the appointment of Stephen Elliott and James M. Freeman as Managing Directors.  Mr. Elliott will focus on global leveraged credit including European and U.S. High Yield, Leveraged Loans and Distressed Debt, and is based in Chicago.  Mr. Freeman will focus on mortgage related securities, and is based in San Francisco.

Mr. Elliott is focused on High Yield, Leveraged Loan and Distressed sales at Cantor.  Before joining Cantor, he held senior sales positions at Citigroup, Credit Agricole, Lehman Brothers, and Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette.  In addition, he served in High Yield and Emerging Markets Corporate Bond research positions at Goldman Sachs and NatWest. Mr. Elliott holds a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.

Mr. Freeman is focused on sales across all mortgage products at Cantor.  Previously, Mr. Freeman served as a mortgage securities specialist covering institutional accounts at Daiwa Capital Markets America and as a Senior Vice President at Stifel Nicolaus, covering institutional accounts for mortgage related products.  He holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College.
