Cantor Fitzgerald Continues its Expansion in Asset Management

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cantor Fitzgerald, a leading global financial services firm, announced today the appointment of Marc A. Bender as Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Acceleration and Seeding.  Mr. Bender will be responsible for building an acceleration, incubation and seeding platform that leverages Cantor's established infrastructure, global distribution and strong capital base.

Mr. Bender previously served as a Managing Director at Millennium Partners, where he focused on business development, manager sourcing and allocation.  Prior to that, as a Partner at First New York Securities he was a senior member of the investment committee and managed all operational aspects of its hedge fund, EFX Capital.   Mr. Bender holds a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. in Law and Society from American University.
