Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. Continues to Expand its Emerging Markets Team

NEW YORK, Sept. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., a leading global financial services firm, announced that Michael Rowe and Luiz Schlittler, formerly of Jefferies & Co., have joined as Managing Directors in the Debt Capital Markets' Emerging Markets group.   The addition of Mr. Rowe and Mr. Schlittler enhances Cantor's sales and trading coverage in fixed income securities.  Mr. Rowe will focus on Emerging Markets corporate bond trading and Mr. Schlittler will concentrate on Emerging Markets sales.

Mr. Schlittler most recently served as Senior Vice President in the Emerging Markets Division at Jefferies & Co., where he was responsible for trading Latin American bonds.  Earlier, he served as Senior Vice President and Emerging Markets Debt Trader at Standard Bank and as a Fixed Income Specialist at Bloomberg in Brazil. Mr. Schlittler holds a B.S. in Economics from Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Mr. Rowe recently served as Senior Vice President in the Emerging Markets Division at Jefferies & Co., where he was responsible for corporate bond trading. Earlier, Mr. Rowe held senior positions at International Trading Group and Standard Bank. Mr. Rowe holds a B.S. in Economics from Villanova University.
