Cantor Fitzgerald And BGC Partners Raise Approximately $12 Million On Annual Charity Day
NEW YORK, LONDON, Sept. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., a leading global financial services firm, announced today that Cantor Fitzgerald, together with its affiliate BGC Partners, Inc., raised the same as last year at approximately $12 million for charities around the world, at the companies' annual Charity Day on Thursday, September 11, 2014. Each year, Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC donate 100% of their global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and dozens of charities around the world.

Founded to commemorate the 658 Cantor and 61 Eurobroker employees lost in the 9/11 World Trade Canter attacks, Charity Day, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, has since expanded to assist charitable causes worldwide, providing aid to victims of terrorism, natural disaster and emergencies.
